Hi there! I have a TravelMate 4010 512mb yep. It works fine, came with windows xp Home Edition no Service Pack. With a recovery partition. When I update to SP3 it slows down a lot. I would say can't use it any more. My wife use it just to read e-mails and read some news on Internet etc... I was wondering if I slipstreaming it to SP3 it could work better. I know there is an explanation about my question in some where, but I couldn't find it. I think this quote is the answer to my question and I just wanna make sure... Steps I have done: I got Bios backed up forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/27220-OEMBIOS-Backup I have the slipstreaming CD with SP3 My question is: To make my own Windows Xp OEM/SLP CD The only thing that I need to do is copping the uncompressed files: OEMBIOS.BI_ OEMBIOS.CA_ OEMBIOS.DA_ OEMBIOS.SI_ winnt.sif to my i386 slipstreaming CD.?? Is it all?? I think the HD is going down. This is the other reason I want to make this CD, if I need to change the HD I will be ready. I don't have the recovery cd. I really appreciate any help!! Thx EdioIlha
