    Hi,

installed a preactivated copy of home premium but I guess I did not do something right as it says I have 30 days to activate it.

Can anyone provide info on how I can activate it?

    Thanks

Home Premium ... pre-activated ... seriously :g:? When pirating things, take the best available, aka Ultimate :cool2:.

Psh we don't need Ultimate as its full of bunk go with Windows 7 Enterprise.

Go All the way or go home!!! heh or home premium in this case.

Enterprise and Ultimate have same feature set, but Enterprise is volume licensing only. Professional is most versatile in its licensing/activation mechanisms - retail, oem, and volume. Ultimate, and Home Premium, just retail and oem.

Far better to stay away from anything that is pre-activated.

You've got a flawed, pirated copy. Far better to use links provided by this forum to get the genuine article and activate using a method provided by this forum.

All versions of Windows 7 require the same resources and have essentially identical install footprints.

Could be a copy with Loader, installed on a UEFI system (where Loader won't work).

Yes, we see the effects of that often, I expect. Preactivation by loader would fail for no apparent reason with uefi and gpt disks, at least to a novice user.

That is why I would install Professional from clean iso, try loader first, and if it fails switch to MTK.
