Okay, I did my search and couldnt find help before anyone bashes me out. So, my bro had office 2010 installed on his win 8 pro machine. He uninstalled it and removed kms and keys. Then installed volume office 2013 and tried kms Micro 3.11 . So the VM runs and select t for time sync. And the kms server is running on 127.0.0.1:1688 . Ran the activator and it gives error that KMS server could not be contacted. Yes, the host name and ip address were correct in the activator and the port as well. I tried same with Kms Nano, same error. I can't determine where I went wrong and how to resolve it. Please help. It is not being blocked by a firewall. Also, there are no previous keys installed, except that office 2013 is running in grace period now.
