Activating trial disc?

    Is there a difference between the eval disc and the VL? There is a 10 MB difference. Can I just daz loader the evaluation and be good to go?

    Edit: I'm talking about the 2008 R2 version.

    Yes, you can OEM activate trial

    True... but if i am not mistaking this also is possible on a VL image, is it not? (At least this worked for me on Windows 2008)

    Correct, 2008/R2 can use any activation method (just like Win7 Pro)

    could you point me in the direction of the best way to activate it, bit baffeled by all these threads about it and im a little unsure what to use. im currently running ws2003, would i have to totally wipe the system and install ws2008 or can i upgrade it, i dont fancy spending hours setting everythingback up from scratch.

    As alsways, make an image of the existing system before trying anything new!

    OEM activation, just read the stickies & learn
