I've always managed to find all my answers here without asking, I've managed to make up Ultimate 32 bit disks that work on my systems that have the slic 2.1 bios mods applied but seem to be stuck with the 64 bit O.S, any type of disk I try just won't activate, is it not possible for O.E.M 64 bit installs or am I doing something wrong, I was trying to make a DVD rather than use the Loader to activate seeing all our laptops are 2.1 slics. I'm looking to make up a much awaited new build tower with lots of ram, i5 cpu etc but want to get it on a 64 bit system, without the 32 bit memory bottleneck, the old 2.67ghz dual core is starting to get a bit snail like now, anybody got some good advice or point me to the correct threads would be most helpful ;);)

it sounds like u did the preactivation files wrong in x64 u modded.. try untouched x64 win7 and manual or loader to activate. loader does not install if slic 2.1 found.
it does cert and key only.

sometimes u have to rearm 30 day trial first for activation to work.

Thanks, I know of the Loader option but was trying to make a DVD that would simply install ready activated like all my 32bit disks do, is it not possible for the 64 bit O.S, I,ll do some reading up the loader option , but wanted a "burn and forget" DVD option if at all possible,is this loader now free from all the M$ upadtes that used to disable things if I remember rightly?

By the time I replied another 2 posts appeared, first try was a clean Utimate, which gave me 30 day trial, 2nd try was clean Pro version, that said 3 days remaining before auto activation, third attempt was with the clean ultimate disk with OEM folder added, that also came up as 3 days before auto activation, each time I try I'm using a spare HDDrive freshly formatted before each attempt

Even stranger now. I've just run the loader on my activated system and it says unlicensed, it 's activated as an OEM and has the official M$ Genuine software icon next to it, could be because it's looking for a retail version rather than OEM that's installed and working fine ??

Thanks to all the people who helped, I've tried all the suggestions people offered, I got the totally clean X64 iso. hash checked it so I know it was totally untouched, then added the OEM folder and removed the cfg file, everything worked fine , didn't ask for a key but it didn't activate, it must get injected with the wrong oem info for my laptop, probably a 32 bit key rather than an x64 bit key ? Anyway 20 seconds with the latest DAZ got it sorted out without a problem, my 32bit Windows 7 ultimate built the same way works fine and activates instantly, but the several different x64 iso's I tried all came up as the same result, all install without needing a key, but none were activated .

no such thing same key works for both, also you must have been using wrong certificate it it did not pre-activate.

That doesn't explain things then, I have a Dell D630 laptop with a modded bios from here,so slic 2.1 is included in my bios already, I used a win 7 Ultimate x32 iso then added the OEM folder found on here, disk activates fine on install, downloaded several X64 iso, again all linked from here, did the same thing to all of them, including the original untouched X64 iso, added the latest OEM folder from here , nothing else added, removed the little cfg. file so I can choose which version I want at install time, are those missing certificates not included in that OEM folder then, I thought all needed bits were inside that folder?

I'm afraid I don't have a high enough post count to add that type of info yet, tell me what figures you need to know and I can answer them for you, do you need the results for the version that doesn't activate rather than after Daz loader has been used on it?

Thanks for that link Tito, I now know how to do it, but still need a post count of over 20 to be allowed to submit the info even in between the
    Code:
markers , it won't let me post the results

Hi Urie., both OEM folders came from here, the one on the x64 iso is I believe an updated version of what I used before, I'll have to try inserting the old OEM folder instead of the new one and see if that solves it
