    Hi

I have an eMachines laptop that came with win7 home prem. however, it didn't come with restoration disk. i've installed downloaded original win7 and now it's asking me to activate it.

i searched but couldn't find emachines.xrm-ms, can anyone help me please???

    thanks much!

thanks. but i want it as "authentic" as possible. i usually dont have time fixing computer problems so i dont want MS block loaders and all in a sudden i can't use my laptop.

What motherboard is in your laptop? I'm almost sure emachines does not have there own .xrm-ms cert.

By the way IF M$ ever were to block a loader they won't lock you out of your computer lol

Edit: Emachines does have there own cert my bad, but i can't find the 2.1 cert just the 2.0

As NoJuan999 said it will probably be eMachine[ACRSYS-ACRPRDCT-1025]2.1.BIN = 8F3632D5 | 2.1 CERT but download slick dump tool kit just to make sure.

I'm confused guys? He said his machine came with preinstalled win 7 which kinda implies 2.1 slic. Hopefully...lol So Daz loader will install the cert and key for that machine if the slic is there. If not daz will install loader with key and cert. So why does he need to do any cert/slic downloading when Daz will do all that for him?

Because he Specifically asked about the eMachines Cert, I assumed he has eMachine SLIC 2.1.
He could use the Loader to install the Acer Cert (which is the same as the Cert for eMachines) and Acer key.
Personally I would manually Install the Cert and key on a PC with a SLIC 2.1 BIOS, that way there is less chance of a problem.

    He did specify that...lol

I was just trying to make it easier for him while unknown to me you say manually is more reliable

    Cool thanks ;)

I mentioned slic dump toolkit for one reason any one can run Daz loader and it may add correct certificate e.c.t , But what knowledge does user gain hopefully with full information he could make his own OEM SLP 2.1 dvd then just install and pre-activate. Also another point user didn't get recovery dvd but may have recovery partition he may not even know that :(

thanks guys for your help! sorry for replying later; i'm running between school and jobs, weekend is usually the busiest.

okay, there's the deal. i checked the serial and also used daz loader. i confirm that emachines, at least mine, uses Acer everything. I'm attaching the screen caps and the dumped bin. hope they'll be helpful to this forum.

lol...So did you check if you had slic 2.1 or did you just install loader? That is the mystery question one of which to find out you'd need to unistall and reboot maybe twice then use slic tool to check...lol Either way your activated...lol

Also if you did have slic 2.1 you could upgrade to ultimate for free...lol

i checked its slic 2.1. dunno how to dump the cert though. any idea?

a difference between the acer.bin posted on this forum and the one dumped from mine was noticed. it looks like they are a bit different yet i was able to activate win7.
