Please help me guys to understand rhis: If I have an older PC which doesn't have SLIC 2.0/2.1 in BIOS so it can't be modded and also this PC won't be compatible with any loaders out there ,then could this PC get activated without any problems and nagging screens after buying an Original WIN7 DVD with license? In affirmative case, how does this process of activating older PCs work flawlessly by this original license key without any hassle for the user? Thanks in advance
My pc didnt had slic either, i modded my bios and now it has slic 2.1 (HP). Doesnt matter how old your mobo is its can always be modded. The only problem we still have is the Insyde bioses (Laptops), if there is no slic 2.0 installed modders cant modify that bios ''yet''.
Sure, you can always get a totally legit retail windows 7 and activate on-line. That does not require any BIOS trickery, just a handfull of cash. ( assuming, of course, that the machine meets the minimum system requirements! ) You seem awfully sure that it can't be BIOS modded; what machine exactly is it? You also seem very confident that no loaders will work; again, what machine is this? If you're prepared to wait ( like you'll have to for a retail boxed copy ), then you'll probably find that the BIOS hacks and loaders have matured a little, and things you thought impossible now may be possible then. -- SC
If you buy a legit copy of Windows 7, it will activate with the legit key. No BIOS mod or Loader needed. If you want to mod your BIOS, you could always add the SLIC table to your BIOS and flash it.
Different activaton mechanisms. You only need the SLIC to perform OEM-style offline activation. Retail copies ship with a retail product key, which is good for activating one machine on-line, or by telephone. -- SC
