hi all, just wondered if there is a quick and easy way to activate xp pro sp3 oem disk on my samsung laptop which has slic 2.1 bios and came with windows 7 pro pre-installed. many thanks for any advice.
If there is an SLP in the bios, yes..run the OEMBIOS.EXE to see if there is one... SLIC 2.1 has NOTHING to do with XP...
ok thanks for that but oembios.exe is sending nod32 crazy,i used slic 2.1 toolkit and the slp 1.0 results are : Offset Valid Address Range SLP OEM String 000FE840 000FE840 - 000FE850 Dell Computer status: Dump OK ! ( DELLWN09_V2.1) sorry i meant to say its for my dell not samsung! does this mean i can just go ahead and install the xp sp3 oem disk? thanks.
Turn the NOD off...the program is safe and if you want to be sure, this is the best way. the other tool is less accurate..It would appear you have a SLP though..
