Activation after moving Windows Server 2003 Small Business Server into a VM

    Hey there,

    i just had to convert an old box of mine running Windows Server 2003 Small Business Server into a VM.

    Now, after booting there´s a popup telling me that i have to activate my copy because of too many hardware changes.

    Long story short: Anyone able to lend me a helping hand and tell me how i could get around that? some loader/reg.fix/wpa fix?

    Any headsup would be greatly appreciated!

    Check the Virtualisation section, theres threads in activating WinXP/SVR03 in Virtualbox,VMWare and Hyper-V ;)

    Is it a legal installation using a retail or VL licencing program? If so whats the issue activating it the official way?

    If it's w@r3z or OEM (not transferable) then you may have issues.
