Hello to all and the question is.. A retail copy of windows 7 purchased and it has the "distribution and required activation must occur in _____ " which means the activation etc must take place only in the country it was purchased in. Any ideas on how to activate this copy for someone living outside the restricted country?? One and (maybe only) option would be by phone but any other way or suggestions on activating it? Thanks for any input.
Yup. Comes back saying "The product key you have entered can be used only in certain countries or regions. Either activate windows from where you bought it or buy a new product key" Error code "The activation server determined the specified product key has been blocked for this geographic location"
Sorry I honestly don't know perhaps someone else can help, don't know if you could actually Phone MS, Even then don't think they would help I would say the restriction are in place to stop people ordering from other country because it is cheaper.
