Additionally, I would like to know how my options are limited by the choice of a particular edition for eg. whether i should go for Volume or Retail edition, etc. Anything else ? Thanks. ...
If the system has a MSDM bioskey for CSL, the standard iso should read and use that key to install and activate.

Normally, the oemretail iso reads the MSDM bioskey and uses it for installation/activation, can't test, I don't have a VM Bios file containing the 8 CSL MSDM, i have 10 only and that one won't work for 8
