    Hello,

I have a motherboard P5LD2-VM SE, i wanted to put a e7500, but this cpu isn't officially supported (no more updated bios since 2 years). If i put the cpu anyway, i get µCode error at boot, and i got the fsb locked to 132 (i can't specify highter fsb). If i try to boot Windows 7, that works correctly but at bad frequency of course.
My motherboard support Core 2 duo 65nm serie but not the 45nm (wolfdale)

Anyone here think it's possible to take µcode from another bios and inject it in this bios will works ? I have found that someone did something like this to add support to a laptop which have a 945G chipset.

You mean FSB 1333 ? because 945G is compatible with 1066 because i have an e6400, and even at 1333 if i overclock the pci express i can reach 352*8 = 2.82 Ghz

Just a question, why would you have to oc the PCIEx to oc the CPU?

I really hope this sint flagged as spam cos im trying to help. My own bios forum DOES take requests for both intel and AMD CPU Support mods. However , its a bit of a mixed success but if you want to try you can request a mod.

Accordind to some previous request of users for P5xxx motherboard, your are not able to manage µcode for Intel :

"We currently cannot do Intel Microcode mods , as only Intel Developers have access to the most up to date micro codes , the only ones released to the public are for pentium 4's and older"

So i don't know if now your are able to do it, i have made a new post anyway.

    Thanks.

Because 945G / P chipset is not able to lock PCI express frequency. So to increase fsb over 299, we need to change the pci Ex to 115-120 mhz (not highter unfortunately because sata controller can't handle more and we loss hard disk detection, network, sound...). At the moment i'm stuck at 2.8ghz for my e6400.

Sorry, it was a typo. You're correct, I meant the 945G does not support 1333MHz FSB.
