I don't have LTSB, but I tried on Enterprise 15063 with no Edge pre installed and it worked.
I will test it on a LTSB VM now.

Yea it installed on Ent 15063 with no preinstalled Edge just fine. I tried w/ LTSB 2016, and it opened and crashed immediately. This was in Hyper-V.

You want to add 15063 version to 14393 version and expect it to accept?

Yea, I know. But it is always worth it to try. Installing in Hyper-V takes only a few minutes.:D

Did you add the reg key Xinso posted? Remember this is important, as we had that issue when applying the CU on LTSB and Edge crashed immediately.
    That reg key solved it.
Add the reg key first, then install Edge.

    Cheers.

Edit: Please report back if it worked for you. It would be nice to include it in MSMG toolkit procedure.

    Rename VCLibs appx to be:
    Code:
    Microsoft.VCLibs.140.00.x64.appx
    Microsoft.VCLibs.140.00.x86.appx
or edit the script and replace all .140.00 occurances with nothing

Is it possible to install the Store with this, install an app from the store and then remove the store but keep the app?

I'm not exactly following your broken English. However, I assume you're trying to say you want to install Microsoft Edge.

There is no complete way to install Microsoft Edge browser into Windows LTSB. This is because Edge is more than just a modern app and is deeply rooted into Windows Home, Pro, Education, and Enterprise. Microsoft Edge is also not available through the Microsoft Store.

However, some have tried using the following MSMG Toolkit to make their own homebrew ISO and installing Windows using that newly made ISO.
    https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/msmg-toolkit.50572

You'll need to seek help in that thread for all things concerning Microsoft Edge. ;)

This depends on the app. Most apps do depend on the same dependencies that Store uses. I'd say about 80% of all the apps will not properly function if the store is not properly working.

I would not recommend removing the store once you add it. Re-adding the store at a later time may prove problematic (if not impossible). It's best you keep it installed.

Glad I could help. I would also add that I would not recommend removing the store once you add it. If you later decide you need it again, re-adding the store at a later time may prove problematic (if not impossible). It's best you keep it installed.

Is it possible that Windows updates and/or an upgrade to Enterprise LTSB 2019 (when it comes out) will break the Store?

Anything is possible, especially 2 years from today. But I doubt it based up the fact that you could have had Windows LTSB 2015 and safely upgrade it to Windows LTSB 2016. We have already safely lived through that scenario. ;)

Further, method 2, is simply taking normal Enterprise and upgrading it to Windows LTSB, as it is a valid upgrade path for Windows 10 (that's why that method works). Microsoft is going to want to keep that backward compatibility for that reason (since Enterprise to LTSB is a valid upgrade path for Windows).

In other words, we have 2 proven paths (methods) which have already played out and it all comes down to Microsoft's own backward compatibility and valid upgrade paths by Microsoft's own design. For that reason, I doubt the 2019 upgrade will break anything. But if it does you can bet a lot of folks here will be working hard on a fix. ;)
