I have an Asus g50vt that I upgraded to a gtx 260m from a g51vx. The system boots up fine, but it reads the susbsystem id wrong, which leads to me not being able to install drivers for the card. this issue is not just with me, but with others who have done the upgrade too. I think it is caused by incompatibility in the bios. If someone with experience editing amibios's could take a look at the bios(es) and see if there is any code that could be transplanted to make this thing work. I can't attach the actual bios so I added the bios links. Thanks!

PS. it can't be fixed by adding the PCI option rom.

I recommend trying the modded driver INF file from laptopvideo2go.com, which removes any dependence on subsystem IDs.
