Everything I read about the CC apps leads me to believe that when using the CC apps without internet access to the Adobe Cloud, you are not getting any more capability than with the CS6 apps, most [all?] of the additional capabilities are available only through the cloud connection. Plus, you will eventually lose access to those CC apps because of the need for periodic online server validation to keep them working. I'm thinking that the CC apps are not of much use to me. The CS6 apps give me as much as I'll ever get from the Adobe apps without actually using the cloud. Correct?
CS6 apps are great, but CC 2015 have been all upgraded, revamped, with performance boost and many new features. It just depends on you, your needs and budget. The desktop apps in Creative Cloud are installed directly on your computer and are fully functional, so you don’t need an ongoing Internet connection to use them. A connection is required the first time you install and license them, of course. After that, annual members can use the apps for up to 99 days in offline mode, month-to-month members can use the software for up to 30 days in offline mode. The license status check has a 7 day grace period. Besides, offline activation, for institutions or individuals that may require to stay not connected to the web (for security or whatever reason), is still available.
