    Hi Friends:

Today, I installed the new Windows 8 Professional 64bits and when I tried to install Adobe Flash Player and Java Runtime Environment 7.0 Update 6...I couldn't...they didn't install

Can you share with my your experiences with those applications?

    Thanks in Advanced,

    TecMan

I successfully installed Adobe Flash Player 11.4 (for Firefox) and Java Runtime Environment 7.0 on Windows 8 Pro 32-bit. Internet Explorer 10 and Google Chrome have Adobe Flash built into them and don't require the installation of Flash separately.

Seems Windows 8 prevents the Active X web installer from completing. I was able to install the latest Flash Player (for Firefox) in Windows 8 using the Adobe Flash executable distributions. Adobe makes it rather hard to find the link for the executable installers. Google "Adobe Flash Player Distribution ITNinja" for website with the Adobe link to where you can download the latest Flash Player installers, since it won't let me post the link here.

    Hi DJxSpeedy & Friends:

Thanks for you reply...Did you install both files for Windows 8 Professional 64 bits?

    jre-8-ea-bin-b52-windows-x64-16_aug_2012.exe
    jre-8-ea-bin-b52-windows-i586-16_aug_2012.exe

    or just jre-8-ea-bin-b52-windows-x64-16_aug_2012.exe file?

    Thanks

    TecMan

Adobe Flash ActiveX is for IE and will not install on Windows 8 as it is built-in and will be updated by MS
Adobe Flash for Other Browser does work fine on Windows 8

Download Java offline x86 and x64 installer and it works fine

    Hi Friends:

I installed JavaSetup7u6 (from java.com) and jre-8-ea-bin-b52-windows-i586-16_aug_2012.exe (from jdk8.java.net) and in both I have the following error:

    Java Plug-in 11.0.0.52
Using JRE version 1.8.0-ea-b52 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM
    User home directory = C:\Users\MyUsername

f: finalize objects on finalization queue
    g: garbage collect
    h: display this help message
    l: dump classloader list
    m: print memory usage
    o: trigger logging
    q: hide console
    r: reload policy configuration

    t: dump thread list
    v: dump thread stack
    x: clear classloader cache

What do you recommend me to fix this problem?

    Thanks

Java and flash are fine here

Downloaded the latest version from oracle sun and ok

    flash the same thing

Try always getting the latest releases to use them

and about java use both x86 anx x64 to work right
