HTML5 is one of them. I couldn't find about the other ones, but these are open technologies, not the proprietary crap Flash is.
Haven't installed flash for as long as I can remember and haven't missed it either, used to be one of the first things I installed after a clean install of Windows, no need for it now
I have the Flash Block plugin installed on FireFox. More sites are migrating away from Flash and towards HTML5.
What is the replacement of flash for web games? Is there any software for creating games with that technology?
By sadly Flash is still used by major TV (ie C4 in UK) in browser I am sure that will eventually change & nobody will be using it, but... plenty of existing educational software. Which teachers will insist on using it (as it is good), but will need Flash (which no longer be updated, leaving potentially a big security hole)
I do not think it is fantastic. And it is a nightmare to keep updated (I do not mean on a single machine) But also all online free games will suffer...
