You wouldn’t think that a tool as basic as the crop tool can be improved or modified but as someone who works heavily with resizing and scaling images for mailers, invites, postcards and visiting cards,I find this new feature in Photoshop CS6 to be a life saver!It’s amazing how easy it makes your life with simple tweaks to the crop size, shape and centralization of content.
I prefer the crop tool that was in the previous versions. CS6 made it quirky. Change for the sake of change and not for improvement.
The new CS6 photoshop had a whole lot of new features that were confusing me a lot too. I went through some demo videos but they only scraped the surface of the applications of these features. Fortunately Adobe made the video of their roadshow that I was unable to attend.If you have an hour to spare, go through it and you’ll find a lot more detailed help with the features that have been hard to get used to.
