I have a fresh copy of Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation Build 9200 installed on a Core i7 PC.

While installing Adobe Reader XI, I get an error in a message box:
    Error 2203.Database:
C:\Windows\Installer\inprogressinstallinfo.ipi. Cannot open database file. System error -2147287037.

    Event Viewer indicates this error:
Product: Adobe Reader XI MUI -- Error 2203.Database: C:\Windows\Installer\inprogressinstallinfo.ipi. Cannot open database file. System error -2147287037.

Did anyone get adobe reader installed in Windows 8?

Im aware windows has a builtin reader for pdf files but I still want to install the Adobe Reader XI installed.

    Thank you

Any way to activate Acrobat XI by just editing the hosts file, like before?

First I believe you will need to get rid of that eval edition and install RTM. Thatwill be a good start there:D

I will point out that the Eval edition of Enterprise is the final RTM build 9200.

The only difference in this build is that, MS has restricted upgrading and timebombed activation to 90 days.

Is RTM the same as retail? I want to install the retail.
Also if I do install Windows RTM how to activate it? I have been trying to install look for activators but cannot find any.
