i have the same problem... i have my laptop with a black screen after installing the wrong version of its BIOS. what is the correct file name to be used for acer aspire 4745G? i already formatted mu usb flashdrive and downloaded the updated bios. the problem is renaming the bios... what should be the FILE NAME... please help ME.
Depends what BIOS (AMI, Award...) you've got there. If it's AMI then the Filename is: AMIBOOT.ROM You should format your USB Flashdrive with FAT16 (aka FAT), then copy the original BIOS to your flashdrive and check if everything is ok ... then you should try the modified/updated BIOS. BTW: The USB Flashdrive must not be bootable for this purpose Good luck...I hope this helps
