Advice on a Windows 8.1 update pack similar to this??

I have downloaded and used this update pack when installing a fresh version of Windows 7. It installs many and most updates from SP1 to sometime in September I think. This is the info posted here in the Windows 7 forum:

Is there anything similar for updating a new install of Windows 8.1? Would make life much easier, I tried looking in this forum but didnt see anything. Thanks for any help!!!!

 

Thanks a bunch for the replies!! I did follow Mr.X reply and have changed from Windows 8 to 8.1, very nice what I was looking for. I am going to be reinstalling 8.1 soon and will give this a try. I will post back here to give a thumbs up or down to the update. Thanks again guys...

 

The link led me to a Windows 8 update and I was working with 8.1 But the original link from Mr.X got me into the ballpark, much appreciated. Maybe the Windows 8 link would work for 8.1 but am downloading the 8.1 link...

 

Well here's my experience with the Windows 8.1 German update file. I did a clean install of Win 8.1, then downloaded the file, 636MB. It said it would install updates thru January 2017. I did not activate windows update service before installing this file. I started the .exe file and it proceeded to install 170 of the 177 updates and rebooted. After the reboot it installed the other 7 updates and rebooted again. So everything worked as advertised, then I activated windows update service and it found 18 other KB updates. My only negative about the whole process is everything of course is written in German so unless you have a translation available you pretty much have to guess at the options. But besides that I am very happy with this website. I will keep this file on a zip drive in case I need it again.
