    Hello guys,
I'm thinking about build a new PC and I'm not sure about what mobo to buy, could you give me suggestions?

Does anyone know about ASUS P5B Premium Vista Edition?

One that allows the bios to be modded would be great too :D

    Thanks!!

below are the criteria which you might wish to consider:

    (a) would you wish your mobo to be future-proof?
    (b) at this point in time, it seems that Asus mobo with AMI as the BIOS lends itself to being easily modded, compared to Phoenix or Award BIOS
    (c) it seems that Intel, Dell, HP, Compaq mobos/BIOSes are difficult or next-to-impossible to mod
    (d) Asus SLIC is the preferred SLIC for use in modded BIOSes and its OEM product key is the most widespread in use

I would go with any Asus P5K board. It has the newer chipset P35.Basicaly newer version of the P5B.Bios is just as easy to modify.

    In my humble opinion

MSI are the easiest to mod and they have BIOSes on AMI for AMD and Intel

    look into the gigabyte p35-DS3P.

one great feature is that it has dual bios. I have it and its great, and i'm less worried about a bad flash.

Oh and im running vista activated with the F4 Bios. It also overclocks great if your into that.
