Hi Guys, I'm looking for a little advice. We've got an Advent laptop that came with Vista, so it has a SLIC2.0 BIOS. I've been looking all day for a BIOS update to modify to SLIC2.1, with no luck on either the makers site or the support site. I see DavidXXW has a BIOS backup program, but he doesn't advise using the backup for modding. Has anyone got an ideas on how to get round this ? Thanks Guys.
Which model Advent is it ? I've modded my Advent BIOS to include SLIC 2.1. The tools to accomplish this are in the BIOS section.
Hi jeff, Its an 'Advent 5302' which came with Vista Home Premium. I've haven't seen any tools in the BIOS section that'll let me extract the BIOS from the MoBo. Only tools that will let me moddify a downloaded BIOS, which is my problem. There isn't one.
the post by "asphix" provides the info and what you need. It is possible to have the bios modded with a "DSG" Slic!
