Your iMac is to old for the latest OS-X version! That's simly normal for Apple OS'es: they're very fast out-dated and having a very low downward compatibility!!

Some of MANY reason I would never spend any money on an Apple product!!

That's impressive. Has MS finished the roll out waves?

Inaccurate. Xinso and I are combined to achieve that amount.
It's also in VMs, not actual machines :)

I've probably done about 15 installs myself - none in VMs and all activated. Probably do another today just to flock wit it. :D

My wife's 7 Pro and my 8.1 Pro remain untouched.

MS would have wider adoption but for the privacy concerns of the general public. Even though it's free, the word has spread fast to Joe Sixpack that this OS spies on you, making most everyone wary of it. That's my opinion.

Don't you think Windows 10 must have exceeded the 53 million install number? 1500 per second in three weeks is about 45,360,000.

Windows 10's privacy issues are in the news right now. Google's is not. You have to take into account the attention span of people when the subject is something they don't understand, especially if it's about something they don't want to learn.

Perhaps Google is not an operating system. As for the Chrome OS I have not seen anybody complaining about spy for unknown reasons. Is it because Microsoft made it clear in its EULA to collect personal data people are so much concerned about the spy issue?

I have installed Windows 10 on 6 computers just to get the hardware ID entered into the database. All but 1 have been returned to their previous operating system. Due to privacy concerns, Windows 10 will NEVER be installed on my primary PC. :excl:

I am now about 80% Linux and 20% Windows 7. Lord help the sheep that are blissfully unaware of Microsoft's Orwellian activities or lack the technical ability to deal with it anyway.

Diferent use for each device and/or program:

Yes we know they spy people when they use Google search or Google browser but you have many more alternatives and you are able to use it only for certain things or not use it.

About android yes we all know they spy us but that's why we do never think in put in our cell phone our credit card info or many other important things as all our private life in it as we just can lose the device or it may be stolen.

About Chrome OS I will never use it as OS, but anyway devices using it are only toys. Same goes for all Apple devices and IOS.

But on our PC this is a very diferent approach as first having biger storage it is able to content all we can put in it, we have in it all our life, bank accounts info and more private info this is very personal not a toy as the cell phone or the tablet.

So it is very diferent use for each device, and an OS spying all the info in hard disk and all we do in the PC (online and offline) it's something we must not allow. So we have only two alternatives:

Install a Linux OS (not my prefence).
Or go back (or stay) to Win7 which is less invasive to let M$ know we do not want Win10 this way (as they understood Win8x had to be replaced ASAP) and start learnig Linux (just in case).

    Best Regards

EDIT: I am not worry about NSA, FBI or any other agencies, they are not going to use the info for any other thing than security (and they will get the info ALLWAYS). What worry me is how long is going to take the hackers to enter in M$ servers and make a copy of all this info, I am sure they are working in it right now, as this is now the big target.

Absolutely agree, but I will say that just because I'm not doing anything wrong, does not mean that I want big brother watching over me.

I must of have done over 20 installs fully activated in various VM's and old laptops and most of them have been wiped clean.

53 million installs but I wonder how many actual users there are! ;)

Nobody is watching over you. Windows 10 is a self-contained OS. When I know that is when I am able to send feedback offline. It is just an automated procedure that will access remote server to understand your needs to better serve you. Seriously, nobody is spy on you in Windows 10.
