I guess you have a problem with your sound?

Did you try to check your hardware using device manager?

Please relay to me the exact brand and model for your motherboard.
    Are u running x86 or x64 ?

Where doesn't it work anymore? XP? You said anymore, so I assume it worked somewhere before?

I worked on a friends computer with an older motherboard and soundmax sound. Windows Update had the drivers. If you haven't tried windows update then do that first. Otherwise try vista drivers or even the XP drivers.

I assume you did an upgrade installation, if you did it may be pretty difficult to clean out the old drivers so the new ones will install properly. Another option is to get a cheap sound card and just disable your on-board sound.
