I'm in preparation for installing Win7 and SP1. And I see the following statement at MS: "If you installed SP1 yourself, you can uninstall it. However, if your computer came with SP1 already installed, it can't be uninstalled." (As a new comer at this forum, I can't post links.) Does that mean I can not uninstall SP1 after I install Win7 (and SP1) with the "SP1 integrated" ISO, which sounds like making my computer "come with SP1 already installed"?
SP1 only provides minor performance improvement and ensures Windows 7 stays up-to-date. So, SP1 really does not provide new functions or anything substantial. Still, I am sure that most of us here, me included, are currently running Windows 7 SP1. max32x Anyway, if you feel Service Pack 1 is not useful for you or it breaks some of your software, then do not install Windows 7 SP1 integrated image. Instead, use back Windows 7 RTM image with no Service Pack 1. Install all updates from Windows Update. Eventually, your Windows 7 is really not much different than Windows 7 SP1, as you are only missing some updates not released through Windows Update. Hope this is helpful.
Is this the case as now. Could be if sp1 is an optional update. On a fresh windows 7 rtm install, does one get the choice of all the pre-sp1 updates (10/09 to 2/11+ sp1) or sp1 straight up with not much else/post sp1 updates. I remember in windows xp sp2, the first updates used to be perhaps wga, followed by sp3. Then all post sp3.
because they are genuine iso's none the less, and for the fact that the repo contains the material you need, no need for posting countless links in that particular thread
