Is it just me, or does anyone else seem to see that the overall quality of the display is more sharp, vivid, and the text is much more crisp? Maybe I'm just having a flashback of my old days of taking acid, but I swear after doing the updates ( about 30 Min ago ) things just look more vivid, all the way around. Anyone else on the same 'trip' as me?
Not sure what placebo effect you mean... I haven't read a thing about the updates, and didn't even know they were in the pipeline, if that's what you're talking about... OK, well, maybe it's just me then, with no placebo effect... Of course, I did switch brands of coffee tonight.... hummmm
Here the display has become dull and lifeless. Uninstalling the update made it more vivid and sub pixel anti aliasing started working better.

It's too late to ask, I already did the updates yesterday and didn't notice anything then. But if I knew about this possibility, I'd be on the lookout. What matters though is that you can improve visibility of the display at any time by using available adjustments for it.
OK, ok, ok..... Mystery solved, finally! While I was in the shower, my wife cleaned my glasses, and didn't tell me. When I came back to the computer, voila, things just seemed SO much crisper, clearer, and vivid... Go figure. Hey, it's not my fault, she should have said something....
hey this is my very first post ever since I been on here for few years ..so whn I just read what u said sparked me to reply and its not just you me too.....I notice that on surtain recent builds..that my contrast sum color n shapness gets better n fixed too specialy I was suffering with my past 2 Samsung newer tvs ...with shaprpnes n all this stuff ..going on but they r better and I'm curious if these newer updates or the next windows builds r gonna be like
