    Sounds like driver problem

    Go to device manager
    start/control panel/system/hardware/devicemanager/floppy disk drives
    click on "floppy disk drive"
    Uninstall driver for floppy drive and reboot

    The driver should be reinstalled

    After restart windows floppy disk missing.In device manager missing floppy drive there is floppy controller.I doubt in KB........,KB.......
