Hi, I am new here after reading many posts, I found many people replace their existing slic2.0 with 2.1 one using PBE to extract their original bios first so as to find the RSDT and OEMID . Actually, this method is for someone who wants to upgrade their slic to another brand slic,like replace HP slic2.0 with Lenovo 2.1, after doing so, we also have to change the RSDT(OEMID OEMtable) at the same time, so PBE will help us find them and we can edit them However, for people who just want to upgrade their slic2.0 to 2.1 with the same brand like HP slic 2.0 to HP slic2.1, the only thing they need to do is just open their bios through WINHEX and replace pky and marker since the Head of slic and the RSDT are the same, leave them unchanged! finally save it!! Just simple, I revised my acer 5920G in this way and have no idea whether I am right or not, so I hope someone who can help me judge my method Thanks btw. this method only for those bios which are not encrypted.
