Sounds like something is messed up with your system or install media. You really shouldn't have any issues like your experiencing.

ya idk wtf it is. i mean a charger unplug it crashes. its been a nightmare. i just googled it and found a full page of issues with ati. i guess its a graphic driver issue. sooooo back to 7 i got. ill wait a month and try again. maybe by then my system will have more drivers available. just sucks i bought 8 and am having nothing but issues.when its asleep and i wake the screen up it crashes as well.all my drivers are up to date as well. using drivermax. guess ill wait till they update them.

That process will still ask you to download the .NET framework... I already did that. Prior to my solution....

I suggest, then that kaos420 downloads the NON-BETA one specifically for his laptop model...

In-fact, kaos420, you don't actually need to upgrade to the BETA one. You can make do with the latest NON-BETA driver. Things will still work... The crash is caused by the Catalyst driver being installed without the .NET Framework 3.5

And BTW, make sure you set the Win7 ATI driver to Win7 compatibility mode and 'Run as Admin' before installing...

Enable netframework by Dism cmd, posted in the forum. That s proven to work well.
    Ati 12.8 here on 6370M .
I use AMD checker on my sys and advised Not to go with 12.10 due to hardware, all good here.
Good luck , u should be good too:D

My advice would be NOT to install any aftermarket drivers whatsoever and see if it's stable; there shouldn't be any issues with the WHQL stuff, and unless you're a hardcore gamer you most likely won't notice the difference. If it's not stable as a stock install, then it's most likely a hardware issue not a driver one, in which case you need to figure out which component is actually to blame.

    In an administrative CMD:
    Code:
    dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFX3 /Source:X:\sources\sxs
were X: is current optical/virtual drive.

Not every new product is built around a new chipset; for example, many wireless cards/chipsets are rebranded Atheros gear, in which case installing a Vista-era driver on it would work fine. Also - especially with regards to graphics drivers - the stock Microsoft drivers are cut-down versions designed to just work; no nVidia Control Panel, no extensions, no specific optimizations for each chip, just a basic nv4 module designed to get your system up and running. The Windows Update stuff is typically fairly recent WHQL'd versions.

My point, however, still stands; these bare-minimum repacks that Microsoft provide are designed to be stable above all else; it's not going to give you rocking framerates, but it SHOULD help you identify whether or not you're having a driver issue or a hardware one.

ok so i kinda narrowed it down to something strange. if i unplug my charger or boot without it and then plug it in it crashes every single time. otherwise its leveled out a little and is running better then before. any ideas on the power making it crash?

Do you have Hybrid graphics for example AMD integrated with onboard Intel graphics?
