does it work? this driver version is "8.982.0", while the 12.6 beta (the only who works here with w8) is 9.0xxx.x
There will be no drivers for the Radeon 4XXX Series? I have a Radeon 4770, I really like her and did not want to have to replace the video card .....
Doesn't work for me. Probably because I have an old Radeon HD 4670 I had to use the 11.12 drivers which still seem to be the only drivers that will work for me in Win8.
Yeah, works perfect Sucks though... is 12.6 the last drivers for the 4x series? What a way to shaft users.
Could anyone please confirm that, is Windows 8 gonna be deactivated, if you have a Win 8 Pro x64 activated via KMS route already, and you install/upgrade this latest AMD 12.8 drivers? As I've read quite a few posts that said after installing new graphics drivers, Win 8 was deactivated. Thanks alot.
Works amazing! Win8 Pro x64 Was able to pick up my 7870 right away. I am also able to use GPU scaling with my HDMI, so I don't have to use that flimsy converter for DVI. Thanks!
The release notes for this latest version of CCC state that it is not compatible for switchable graphics-enabled PCs.
Leshcat announced he is working on a Windows 8 specific release. I use his 12.7 beta one, the graphics work, i only had to force install the AMD drivers with Device manager, CCC doesn't work but if you set GPU to Fixed mode in HP Bios setting it will use AMD for graphics instead of the intel gpu if you ae plugged into power. I can play Second Life fine for an example. Google Leshcat. Link is safe afaik, I have been using his non-official switchable AMD drivers since I got this laptop.
