You could try to use HWDirect, click on Memory, put as string FFF00000 and as hex size 100000 and push DUMP button, select all locations and import them with an hex editor (and save), If you've got an Ami bios.

That should (I hope) extract the entire ami bios.
Which in turn should be editable with mmtools (making it able to extract the RAID Rom).

Once I have the rom , I can import it into my own bios.

    --edit

But I just noticed d975xbx2 uses a very old sata raid rom , so you don't need to do all of this :)

Is it possible to "upgrade" an old 7.5.0.1017 RAID BIOS rom on my ASUS Maximus Mobo (ICH9R) to the "new" 7.6.0.1011?

Because, I have some problems with the currently installed Version (.1017) (HDD Detection Failure ....)

    @Maf

Are you able to substitute the RAID OROM at your bios?

Since I've been asked twice now , I'll assume that simply replacing the rom in mmtools isn't enough ?

    (I've got ami)

No, MMtools are not able to open / edit such a bios. I'm asking because I need to know a way. If there is a way I could probably find a way to add a SLIC!

Is the BT1308P.BIO AMI? Are you sure?

Ah , I'm not using the intel board.
I've got an asus maximus (ami bios) , I added the intel .bio because it has the rom I was looking for.

And no , I have no idea what type of bios the intel bios is.

    O.K. Too bad.
Maybe scan80269 extracted it from that Intel bios. Let's see.

    Hi Maf,

I have also an ASUS Maximus Mobo.
You have successfully "modded" this new ICH9R Raidbios into the BIOS?

Maf, I have emailed you the Intel 7.6.0.1011 OROM for ICH9R. I have successfully used MMTOOL to change the OROM from 7.5 to 7.6 on an ASUS OEM board featuring ICH9R. I would expect ASUS retail boards like the Maximus should be amenable to the same kind of OROM substitution. Let me know if it works.

I've been hearing some negative news about 7.6.0.1011 lately, something to do with SATA HDD detection issues and/or system lockups during POST, so this OROM is not guaranteed to be better than 7.5.0.1017, and if anyone sees improvement with 7.6.0.1011 replacing 7.5.0.1017 please share here.

If it is a AMI bios, yes use Afudos to flash. EZ flash doesn't work.
