Hi all! I have a problem!I need modding my Fujitsu Amilo Pro V3505 bios splash screen (A0T--T-mobile logo) from B0G,but the Phoenix editor say "invalid rom length" Where is cut the whp file with winhex? Sorry my bad english! Thank you friends!
You will likely have to get a copy of Winphlash (or Winphlash64 if you're running 64-bit) and use that to backup your existing B0G BIOS. - Get original B0G BIOS from Fujitsu and rename it to BIOS.WPH - I'm not sure if your laptop requires Winphlash/Winphlash64 v1.x.x.x or v2.x.x.x, so you'll need to experiment to see if you get an unsupported hardware error or something like that. - Use the original B0G BIOS and pretend to flash it. It should enable the backup button. Once you have your BIOS backed up (ex: backup.wph), skip the flashing part. You should be able to open the backup.wph in PBE without the "Invalid ROM length" error.
Thanx! But i have backup from bios! Bios.bak rename bios.wph--->open Phoenix bios editor and invalid rom length size:1 052 955 Any tool or method from the splash screen change? Thank you
I used Phoenix Winphlash 2.0.2.9 and 1.7.16.0 ! My laptop is Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro v3505 with windows xp professional (x86)
A bit old question, it's been 3 years since now and I have the same problem with PBE and a Phoenix Xa 3530 bios. I extracted the .wph file and it has also a platform.bin at the end around 6 kb. The entire file is 2054 kb so cut the file at 2048 kb. But yout you need the platform.bin to be able to flash the file. Make a copy of the platform.bin so after you modify your bios you can append it again. Also I would make a bootable usb stick and use phlash16 or phlash17 to flash.
