Please help me. I cannot play angry birds on my pc. It prompts for opengl. But before i installed Windows 8 Pro, i've been using Windows 7 and angry birds works great without any problems. I guess it's the graphics driver problem. 3 GHz Intel Dual Core CPU 2GB RAM 500GB HDD
I Had A Problem Trying To View A Video with .mts Format I dual boot and the video plays fine with Windows 7 but not with Windows 8. I have the latest Nvidia beta driver and the Klite codecs including the 64 bit extensions. Hopefully Nvidia will figure out how to get their drivers right for Windows 8 soon.
I've read somewhere that OpenGL is not supported in Windows 8, which is most important for Angry birds and lot of games The graphic card drivers does not completely support it......
Also Windows 8 uses Direct X 11. Direct X 11 is new and the video card drivers, at least Nvidia, don't yet have a final driver that works well with Direct X 11.
Right, the drivers MS supplies don't support OpenGL, at least yet, but I don't understand why downloading a driver from nVidia or AMD wouldn't work, since they DO support OpenGL, and that's all that AB needs. It even works here with the lowly Intel Win8 beta driver. Maybe update the version of AB, too?
You need to install .NET Framework 3.5 for Angry Birds to work... I can't yet post links, so search for it on the M$ Website
Angry Bird Chrome plays well in chrome, and Angry Bird Starwars plays well on metro, win8P X64. Edit: LOL, just found out that it's Sep 2012 thread.
Uninstall the graphics driver and install the driver your were using in Windows 7 (I mean use the slight old version of Graphics Driver. you could download it from Intel's site). I assure you would have no problem playing Angry Birds.
