Another N00b question about 8.1 activation.

    Hi everyone.
    Just apologize in advance for the questions I'll ask, 'cause probably done hundreds times.

    1. I've got Windows8 original key fro my Uni. But I want to install Windows 8.1 from fresh. Is it gonna be valid?

    2. let's say I find a key for the installation process. I don't wanna use any tools to activate, but like I was doing with 7 & co, i want to use KMS. Is that still valid:

    slmgr.vbs -ipk xxxx-mykey
slmgr /skms kmsserver
slmgr.vbs -ato
    3. If yes, what kms server available for 8.1?

    Windows 8 keys were different than Windows 8.1 activation keys as I remember....your only choice is to install Windows 8 with the key you got & upgrade to Windows 8.1 from the store (This process will work only on retail keys)

    Since you want to install a fresh Windows 8.1, your only choice for activation is KMS
