    Hello guys,
This SSL encryption thing doesn't work very well with the combination of Opera and IDM and creates all sorts of problems for me. Is there a way with an add-on or a script perhaps to force the httpS links to conventional http ?

    Any idea ? Thanks.

This website only has a secure version. There's no add-ons or scripts that can change that.

I can see that you're using Windows 8.1 with Opera 40.0.2308.54, so there shouldn't be any cryptography issues that prevents a site from working for you. Maybe the problem is that you need to update Opera to version 42.0.2393.94 and apply an IDM update?

All websites run fine including MDL it's just that IDM doesn't pick the downloads from Opera if they're httpS and the fact that IDM doesn't work very well with the https links to begin with.

    Thanks for the reaction though.

I have been using Opera all along without problems.

I don't use IDM, but Opera's own built-in DM, which I find satisfactory.

Indeed, the issue is with the IDM not Opera but I thought if I could force non-SSL encryption in Opera, would have solved it.

Opera caches the download files in the system memory so it's not recommended to download large files, that coupled with slow internet connections hurt the workflow :(
