Hello, When attempting to activate Windows XP Professional using the original key available at my Dell Latitude D630, I'm getting a message saying that the product key entered is not a valid key for this system. Looking at the label that is available at my PC it says X12-51822. Can anybody tell me how can I obtain that image in Spanish? Thank you very much!
I was thinking XP activation servers are down for few years Simply download any OEM XP Professional SP3 and your key should work
What key are you talking about? Post it somewhere everyone can't see. (The activation key contains 25 letters and numbers. Do you have such a key?) Above given X12-51822 is only one of DELL versions only. Something like on this COA
The activation servers are still working via phone call. The key should work for an in-place upgrade from Windows 2000 Professional to Windows XP but I can't get it to work. Thank you.
@antonio8909 Run from dos - or make a boot stick with rufus, copy exe file, boot and run. If you have a SLP 1.0 string we can rebuild an oem:slp image. The CRC string is what we are shooting for and should correspond with oembios set found: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/the-windows-xp-oembios-archive.9795/page-39#post-1660634
Hello, I'd make an ISO using that thread and downloading my SLP string and it doesn't access my key. Hello, thank you for your PM. I'd try your key in the Retail, Volume and the OEM ISO that I'd try to build and it doesn't work. Thank you everybody for looking into this!!
@antonio8909 The type of key on the label is OEM:COA, which means you still need to activate it online/via phone (which might be a tedious job). On the other hand, opting for the OEM:SLP key lets you activate the Windows instance completely offline.
