avast! Home Edition, is free works on all OS i,e, x86 x64 as for firewall it comes with windows same as others just need no know how to use it.

P.S. This is coming from someone who normally uses symantec anti virus corp. I do unattended just for family and friends i don't want to be swapping xp/vista/windows 7 dvd to suit what virus Checker works as I said avast works on all.

Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 is the best Antivirus+Anti Spyware+Firewall suite. I dont think NOD or Avast can reach its power!

Eset is great for viruses, but not for malware.
I recommend Kaspersky 2010 or Avira.

Avira has one of the best detection rates out there for awhile, according to AV comparatives.

Kaspersky incorporates HIPS technology within its anti-virus software.
HIPS is why Kaspersky is the best. If you set up kaspersky correctly (applying user notification on new application control), it is basically impossible to get a virus.

For more information, I use the website: remove-malware.com
Has reviews and discusses stuff like HIPS, etc.

    Go with KIS.

Just as light as NIS, maybe even lighter, but better protection rate.

Enterprise editions of symantec and mcafee are way better and less resource intensive than any of the consumer versions.

Apparently genuine555 isn't talking about Kaspersky 9.0.0.736... which fixed the leaks.
Kaspersky is one of the lightest according to Av-comparatives.

Kaspersky is much better than avast and very light.
I would pick MSE over Avast.

Instead of people's bull s**t, just look at the facts at:
    Av-comparatives, virusbtn and virus.gr
