I like to not add anything to my OS that will slow down my system. Windows Defender which is built into windows doesn't seem very resource heavy and even if you do install something else windows defenders services are still running. malwarebytes has been great for years.

 

Windows Defender is just fine, you don't need something else.

 

AVG 2015 works fine.

Avast did not work with preview for W8, so I'm not surprised that it doesn't work with W10.

Comodo Internet Security Premium and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium works great on W10TP.

 

if i remember correctly, you had to change a registry value in win8 to get avast to work. don't remember which though will try to track it down and test it.

 

HIPS doesn't work on ESET products and probably won't work till RTM. The same thing happened during Win8 Beta process. I'm using just Defender and MBAM Free.

 

I'm using ESET Antivirus, HIPS is activated and all components of the software seem to work fine.

 

Avira "seems" to be working.

 

Are you running Smart Security or NOD32?
