Since Acer sells the AOD 250 with Win7 there should be a BIOS with SLIC 2.1 that I could use on my AOD 250 1710 which came with BIOS 1.13 (SLIC 2.0) and WinXP. My goal is to install Win7.;)

When I use Acer support it shows these BIOS for a AOD 250:

    BIOS Acer BIOS 1.25 2.5 MB 2009/12/08
    BIOS Acer BIOS 1.22 2.4 MB 2009/11/19
    BIOS Acer BIOS 1.21 2.4 MB 2009/10/05
    BIOS Acer BIOS 1.15 2.4 MB 2009/09/21
    BIOS Acer BIOS 1.14 2.4 MB 2009/09/15
    BIOS Acer BIOS 1.06 1.4 MB 2009/06/17
    BIOS Acer BIOS 1.07 1.4 MB 2009/07/06
    BIOS Acer BIOS 1.03 1.4 MB 2009/05/21
    BIOS Acer BIOS 1.02 1.4 MB 2009/04/22

Will any of these work on any AOD 250?
If so which have SLIC 2.1?
If not a link for BIOS 1.13 modded to SLIC 2.1 is dead.
I did d/l a BIOS 1.25 modded by orbiting but the question remains will it work to replace my BIOS 1.13?

I ask because I just feel better using an untouched BIOS if I could before having to use a modded one even though it sounds like y'all are doing great work.

Thanks orbiting and all y'all for the tremendous amount of time you're dedicating to this great conglomeration of work! It's amazing. :)

Just chatted with Acer support and they say latest bios 1.25 is okay to use. I guess it's not a 2.1 SLIC or it wouldn't have needed to be modded.

The deal is that technically BIOS 1.21 onwards has both SLIC 2.0 and 2.1 in them. Only the 2.0 is active though on systems that originally shipped with XP. Some sort of asset tag or possibly related to the UUID is different in the systems that actually ship with Win7 to use the SLIC 2.1. This is why the BIOS has still has to be modded and the SLIC 2.0 replaced with the 2.1.

migatxu, this board does have a search function that works quite well:
