So guys, I was gonna use Mini-KMS to activate my Office 2010 but Norton 360 kept killing it because it thought it's a virus (it's not i know) So I was wondering if there's any proper alternative to Mini-KMS that works just as well. Is there ? My Office Version: 4763.1000 x86 - On Windows 7 x64
See the Office 2010 Repository and yes there are actually 2 one is the manual way the other is tuv's method....
No it does not it only requires that you run it every 180 days.... Still working on the auto thing but things seem to get in my way ...
Hmm I tried the manual method and the activation tool gave me this error, I did exactly as the guide said.. should I try doing a reinstall of Office ?
LOL that would of be very bad indeed, I probably got that issue because I had a early Beta version previously installed.. so I uninstalled completely removed anything to do with Office, restarted.. mounted & installed Office 2010 ProPlus.. redid the Manual Guide and it activated =D, I'm not really bothered about the 180 days as long it's activated i'm happy!
Yea theres a reason why I do all this stuff in Vmware now cause it kinda makes it tricky to uninstall and I got tired of doing it over n over again ....
IF you mean do I have a hack which disables the activation for about 10 minutes before it crashes office 2010 then yes I do have something. Now that I'm finished with windows I can finally get back to office 2010 which should be pretty easy to do cause I'm just automating one already out there.
The method mentioned above pretty much replaces the activation files I'm still playing around with it and somehow it crashed my virtual copy of Office 2010 X64.... Now that I finished the other thing I was doing I'm also workin on a OEM iso but that probably won't get too far... Thats pretty much all I can say at this point cause thats what it does...
With respect mini KMS activator 1.2, we get 180 days grace period by installling KMS service. But after expiry of 180 days, do v have to manual again activate volume edition of office 2010 by using KMS activator or it will be done automatically by KMS service which v installed at first instant of activation. Clarify plz...Thanks
With both mini-kms and shelmo tuvi method, at least from my experience, reapplying puts the clock again to 180 days. Suppose you do it first on day 1. If successful, you get 180 days. You can reapply it anytime between day 1-180. I did it on day 6 again (when 175 days remained), and I am now back to 180 days. Will now do it some weeks from now or even earlier, since this seems like a good thing, and I do not know if it will stop working.
