If you remember with Windows 10, MS was for months bombarding Win7/8(.1) users with periodic reminders Windows 10 was coming (GWX PTSD anyone?). Looks like they learned their lesson on that, as Win11 is less than two weeks away and there's been barely a peep on user desktops. Has anyone seen any info on how MS intends to inform users when Win11 launches? Our general business app testing is done (everything works) but we're more concerned with users accidentally upgrading and having to immediately deal with the new UI. If we can say "you may see [something.jpg] don't click that unless you're ready!" that would definitely help.
Dedicated Win 11 22000.xxx thread: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...d-22000-xxx-pc-beta-channel-co_release.83722/ They will shove it up users throats whenever they can. The second pic here will give you an idea: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...hannel-co_release.83722/page-259#post-1691072 It's just a continuation of 10.
They said the real upgrade attempts will not begin until next year. It's still very relaxed, so far. One can always hope. But it's Microsoft we are speaking of.
I can tell you that in my country Win 11 is hardly mentioned, no TPM hype either, no advertisements with "windows 11 ready" like in the past for all new win releases.
