Any special requirements to go from 100Mbps to 1Gbps LAN?

I'm currently using a Gigabit router connected to a mix of premade 100Mbps LAN cables and homemade LAN cables. Since I'm not using the phone landline, I'm going to replace the internal cabling with CAT6 LAN cable. Here's my doubts:

    1. Do wall LAN sockets require specific compatibility with Gigabit or do "normal" LAN sockets work as well?
    2. Same doubt for the cable connectors, do I need Gigabit connectors or do the ones I usually use to make the 100Mbps cables work?
    3. What's the maximum length I can have between router and computers/switches before signal/speed loss?

    EDIT: forgot one doubt:

    4. The phone box where all the phone cables converge doesn't have a power outlet, so I'll have to pull power through one of the LAN tubes for a length of about 3 meters / 10 feet to bring power to the router. Will this interfere with the signal of the LAN cables in the same tube?

    1: No and Yes
    2: A connector is a connector
    3: 100 ft
4: Not if the cables are shielded

Thanks for the input. I was actually already looking at shielded twisted pairs cable, so I'm good to go!
