Any way to remove the Search bar from Explorer windows?

    You can try to disable the windows search service.

    Upon uninstalling the search from dism, the search service doesn't exist anymore it seems.

    I don't do any kind of file searching on my system though, and don't really want something indexing my files if I don't need it to pretty much. With the Search feature removed, I don't notice any kind of issues (so far anyway), but the search bar is still rather... silly.

    Any other ideas how to get it removed? Is there something specific I should look for in Group Policy?
