Any way to spoof Windows version to applications/drivers?

    Hello,
    In an ideal world I'd like to be able to run Server 2008 R2 Datacenter with the ability to use Faceit Anti-cheat/CSGO. Faceit's anti-cheat is a kernel mode driver that checks windows version, and to my knowledge only supports as far back to Windows 10 1809. Is there any packages or files I could use to swap into an ISO I create to spoof the version so that it's compatible?

    Pretty sure LTSC 2019 is meant (which is 1809 aka 17763). End of life is 2029-01-09.

    I meant by Faceit AC, not Microsoft.

    Does anyone know why FACEIT wouldn't want to support older versions of Windows?

    Moving the driver would be easy.

    Just export the relevant key from W10 import it on 200832, copy the .sys driver in place and disable the signature enforcement.

    That said is very likely that such driver isn't going to work and /or is possible that there are checks not just in the installation phase.

    Anyway the worst thing that can happen is that you wasted 10 minutes of work.
