Bios has password and I've been searching for a week to find a workaround or way to remove it. No luck. Am I missing one or are these solid?

Windows and boot menu are all fine. No issues. I just can't enter bios or update it.

You might want to investigate recovery using a bios on a flash
for when the computer bios is corrupted or otherwise unreadable
The idea is to install a new bios without loading the old one,
that might offer a way around it

Just been through this issue on a Dell
    https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/faq-forgotten-dell-bios-password.43628/page-5#post-1387676
got around it by changing the service tag (serial number)
which resets all passwords. Got it to boot the cd by removing the hard drive
thus defeating the locked boot order.
My only experience with HP is with the Nvidia ball gate array problem/

use a programmer to read bios chip .. make 3 backup.bin files and compare them with hexeditor like hxd .. find $VSS and..
just post the 3 backup bin file and i can try to clear pwd.
