Where did you get BIOS with SLIC 2.1? The latest one is "WIN_X460_06LY03LZ.exe", version "05LY.M025.20090411.JIP" has SLIC 2.0. The notebook model is X460-44P.

Hmmm... That's strange, because I've installed "WIN_X460_06LY03LZ.exe" and have SLIC 2.0 still. The interesting thing is that the file called "..06LY.." but the BIOS version is "05LY...". Do you have the same? My be the BIOS updater checks my notebook somehow and do not do anything.

Yes, that exactly what I did. I've downloaded the file ("WIN_X460_06LY03LZ.exe"), executed it from Admin account, it did the update and when I'm checking the BIOS version with any diagnistic programs I see it as "05LY.M025.20090411.JIP". My previous BIOS was version 03 I think so it did the update. Strange.

Have you tried doing it again? If you do does it tell you it cannot continue as your bios is newer than the one available? thats what happens when i try to do it again.

very very strange, my old bios was what you have now 05 but this file looks like it will update from 03-06 if the file naming is anything to go by.

When you updated your bios did you go in to the bios settings and default everything after the install of the new bios?
