    [Solved] Anyone know how to mod ASUS M5A99X Evo UEFI bios

    Anyone know if it's possible to insert slic 2.1 into the UEFI bios of an ASUS M5A99X EVO AM3+ Motherboard?

    Hi everyone. Is there any chance to return very important feature "Core Unlock" in M5A99X-EVO R2.0 bios?
    It was M5A99X-EVO, but later Asus removed this feature in new revision of MB (

    I made AMI BIOS in the past w/ tools for Dell slic 2.1 (I have Dell OE Win7 disks) Followed Above link and phoenixtool 2.66 and M5A99X-EVO-R20-ASUS-2501.CAP from ASUS. Can't find RW file so Ran w/o it. Tool runs and says ok w/o errors but The patched files fails to load error "security check failure" when asus flash etc try just to open the file. Flash loaders only loads OE files. I've tried dynamic and module. SSV2 fails. Rest are grayed out. ETA: Using OEMCERT_AND_SLICS_2015-11-19.7z

    @BPond

    You need to use New Module method without any RW file.

    Problem is 2.66 w/ above .CAP file does not allow New Module. Only allows Module, Dynamic, and Code.
    Code/SSV2 fails.
    This with Cert from OEMCERT_AND_SLICS_2015-11-19.7z

    That Worked Perfect! BIOS loaded new file and Windows saw the slic w/o reloading the OS. Thank you.
    I did search and saw that post but is on Award&AMI page but got confused when I'm using Phoenix tool.
