I have a licensed copy of Windows 7 Home Premium. I'd like to update to Windows 7 Professoinal to use Remote Desktop. If I use anytime update and install a Windows 7 OEM SLP Key for Windows Professional, do I have to use a loader or modify the BIOS or am I good to go?

My situation is similar to HD ryder9. I want to remotely access my other laptop. Both are running licensed Win7HP.
Tried upgrading using Windows Anytime Upgrade- both times it failed after the key validated successfully.
Message was ="Windows Anytime Upgrade was not successful"

I've had this happen a couple of times on OEM Anytime upgrades, after I restarted the computer all was good.

Well that is correct all you have to do is use Windows Anytime Upgrade to upgrade, get a Professional key that matches your OEM but you can also use a loader/bios mod and achieve this as well. I personally tested it with uODIN R2(Activator) and Anytime Upgrade still worked haha.

oscill8r, actually this is exactly what happened with my Asus laptop. After restarting, it updated to Windows Ultimate!

Thanks acrsn, but apparently restarting the laptop resolved the issue with Asus. I am going to try Lenovo again!
