Real fact is: There isn't any privacy on the Internet!!

Everything could and would be hacked, if someone like to do so.

From my point of view, the only way to keep something real private, is to use at least 2 or even more Encryption systems, one is simply not good enough! Doing so, will slow down your computer system, which is for sure not liked by the user! Just everything has it's price, in money and/or in time etc., etc.!

What a person really needs to consider is "How important am I? Are hackers out there en mass trying to infiltrate my computer?" If you are a normal user, and you think that black hats are infiltrating your computer, I have some phone numbers of a few good psychiatrists who can help you out. A few sessions, and some strong medication can solve many issues.

So far W10Privacy seems to be the cleanest and most robust app for tweaking Windows 10. I was playing around with a few other apps/scripts which work well but W10Privacy definitely seems to be the better of the bunch.

This is imo the best of all Windows 10 privacy tools. I'd only advise against it if you are a novice user in which case, go for O&O's ShutUp10.

I really am suprised this isn't more popular here, on the forums. Been using this app for a couple of months now, just noticed it on the forum.

It really is a very simple, easy to use app, with a massive amount of functionality behind it, he also explains the functionality well (and i think that was not so easy to do, neither figuring out what it was in the first place) and finally it does not even cost anything.

Anyways, personally i'm not that afraid for my privacy, as i never have made a big fuss about it, but it can understand a lot of people think differently about that. I feel like i'm wise enough already to not put stuff on a live computer, that i don't want out in public. There is also a reason why companies are running local servers for decades, which are not connected to the internet, because they don't want it to get out/leak.

But i must say there are some some worrying things going on in Win10, and shady practices applied, more then i imagined even. Couldn't care less though, for Microsoft to know which fowl words, i type the most often or how many times i go back to the web for more porn. They can never link that information to me personally, as the consequences would be immense. But if it can help me find the right type of porn faster the next time i need my fix, i'd say go for it

no need to do that, wasting time stopping some kind of "spy os", because if ms want to take your information, you can't stop it at all. I think your are very pessimistic, ms collect user data to make their os better. if you don't trust them, just use encryption programs. apps, Cortana, store are great, and useful , many people like these things, I can't understand why you scare to use Cortana, apps, store?

    Hola

I have read a bit or two and tested around 7 programmes of the kind.

O&O is the most user-friendly, but I'm interested in W10Privacy more as the number of tweaks is staggering + promising fo rthe most part.

    Any experience you've had guys?

If you think those 2 programs, that have been out for awhile, time for MS and the NSA to study them will keep you secure from alittle spying, you are fooling yourself, I'm sure MS and the NSA share, so 1 phone call home from your computer, they know all your secrets, they are probably laughing at us now, but some people are making big bucks off your fear, Windows 10 is fine as it is,
if you want it to work as it should, now if you rob banks, blow things up or worst, unplug your ethernet cable.:tasty:

This is just my opinion, no debate please

I'm pretty confident that these programs were never created to protect users from the NSA. As for Microsoft, I doubt they have the resources or desire to know everyone's secrets. No debate, just my opinion.
